CLP regulation / GHS

CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulation, also named regulation (EC) n°1272/2008 of the European parliament, relating to the classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures, integrates the classification and labelling criteria of the Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

By homogenizing the identification of chemical substances and mixtures, GHS allows limitation and prevention of the risk to human health and the environment.

Manufacturers, importers, formulators, distributors and users of chemical substances and mixtures are all concerned by the CLP regulation. All possible hazards must be transmitted by drafting Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for substances and preparations.
